Booth University College - Winnipeg Advantages:

1. Student-Centred Small Classes
All classes have less than 50 students, and many have fewer than 20. This makes your learning environment personal, helps you feel connected to your classmates and professors, allows for individualized attention, and creates opportunities for lively debate and participation during class. Your professors won’t just know your name, they’ll be able to mentor and guide you in a way that just isn’t possible at larger institutions.
2. More Mentorship and One-on-One Time with Faculty
Our low 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio means you’ll have smaller teaching groups, lots of one-on-one time with your professors and significant mentorship opportunities. You’ll develop a strong relationship and connect with all of your professors in a way that will enrich your learning experience and prepare you for your future career.
3. Your Opinions and Ideas Count
Your professors will teach you new ideas, challenge your existing ones, and are interested in what you have to say. At Booth UC, your ideas and opinions count and your professors want you to share them. They’ll help you gain the confidence you need to be a leader in the classroom and beyond, and for the rest of your life.
4. Accessible Professors
Whether it’s through their weekly office hours or the extra attention you will get from them in our small classes, Booth UC’s professors are accessible. They want to be a part of what guides and inspires you to succeed, and they will be there to support you throughout your journey at Booth UC.
5. Individualized Attention
You will have your own academic advisor to explain academic policies and processes, create individualized programs of study, and help keep your studies on track. You’ll also be assigned your very own personal library assistant to ensure quick, individualized service.
6. Private Education at a Public University Cost
We strive to make our programs as affordable as possible to as many people as we can through a number of needs-based and merit-based financial awards. At Booth UC, you ‘ll be recognized and rewarded for your outstanding academic record translating into big savings on tuition.
7. Support for Student Success – Free Tutoring
You’ll have incredible supports available through our Academic Learning Centre, where you can access free one-on-one tutoring, academic workshops, and individual or group exam study sessions. Together, our faculty, administration and staff foster a learning environment dedicated to supporting students on a personal level. You’ll learn with support so you can graduate with confidence.
8. Christian University College
Because we are a small, Christian institution, you’ll be welcomed into a wholesome, close-knit campus community that’s easy to get to know. Visit our Spiritual Life office for friendship, dialogue and to deepen your own values and beliefs. Chapel services are available twice a week, bible study groups meet regularly, and we offer many faith-focussed, extra-curricular activities and opportunities to connect with other like-minded students throughout the year.
9. On-Campus Residence Offers a Safe, Secure Environment
Our residence rooms are housed on the upper levels of our main campus building with a Residence Assistant and other live-in staff, providing you with a safe and secure environment if you choose to live at Booth UC. All residence floors are gender-specific, and alcohol, drugs and smoking are prohibited.
10. Intramural sports program and Excellent Gym Facilities
While your studies are the priority, taking time out to renew your mind, body and spirit is also important. You’ll be able to meet new people, stay active and have fun by participating in our intramural sports program. You will also have a free membership to the University of Winnipeg’s Duckworth Centre gym, which is just across the street from Booth UC.
